This is me
Have Hope and Live Well.
Across many origins, Asha means Hope and Life — or one who lives well. My name is a reflection of who I am and a guiding force behind my work. The stories shared with me about its meaning inspire my commitment to lifelong learning about myself, others, and the world around us. Hope and life remind me to work toward futures where we can be and live well.

I collaborate with teams and communities to curate research‑supported initiatives inspired by everyday living, movement, and embodied experiences.
I am an interdisciplinary educator and scholar whose work spans teaching, creative practice, and community engagement. My interests focus on everyday living, embodiment, sensory engagement, and leisure, and how these experiences shape learning, connection, and community. I explore these areas through visual media, writing, and collaborative projects informed by the social determinants of health.

My interdisciplinary practice includes program design, leadership collaboration, and social impact. I enjoy developing work that is thoughtful, accessible, and grounded in everyday experience, and I am committed to shaping environments that support reflection, curiosity, and meaningful engagement across academic and community settings.

My work engages aesthetic practice and aesthetic methodology to examine how embodied and sensory experiences shape learning, connection, and community. Through visual media and art-based inquiry, I explore how everyday life becomes a site of meaning-making and social transformation.

I am the Founder and Director of scholHER, a community-rooted organization advancing racial and gender equity through research, programming, and collaborative practice. I am also the Founder and Director of ASHARE, a consulting practice focused on anti-racism, equity, and community development, where I support interdisciplinary projects and organizational development. Across these organizations, I engage in work that is reflective, connected, and responsive to the environments people move through.
